Style Shopfitting Ltd had the pleasure of converting an area of the Checkers Xpress store in Bath Street St Helier to provide the first Costa Coffee in the Channel Islands.
Costa Coffee was founded in 1971 in London by Bruno and Sergio Costa and now has branches all across the UK. Costa Coffee shops are renown for their warm and welcoming atmosphere and their state-of-the-art coffee counters.
The project involved a small but challenging conversion of part of the supermarket into Costa Coffee and required Style Shopfitting to bring together the various corporate standards from the design of the counter to the back fittings.
The project also involved the installation of various items of equipment that Costa Coffee designed in association with a number of suppliers. Style Shopfitting project managed the sourcing and installing of all items ensuring even those suppliers unfamiliar with exporting products to the Channel Islands were assisted in reaching a smooth conclusion.
Style Shopfitting also had to modify the counter to comply with the local interpretation of disabled access.
All in all, a challenging and innovative fit out fulfilled by Style Shopfitting on time and to budget with the satisfied client SandpiperCI opening the first Channel Island Costa Coffee as planned.
